Easter 2012

The kids arrived home from Grandma's just in time for Easter Sunday.
Just in time for Easter baskets....
You never get too old for that, do you?

And collared shirts, pretty dresses and sweaters worn on
a day of beautiful blue skies and sunshine,
 that tentively promised
Spring is on the way.

Following church we had the requisite dinner
of spiraled ham and deviled eggs
mashed potatoes and gravy with rolls too
and strawberry cake...
and well you get the picture.

We were so happy to have our kids home.
Our bellies weren't nearly as full
as our hearts.

i miss my kiddos

I told you this would happen. Dylan and Karsen are enjoying their Spring Break week with their grandparents in NC, and I officially miss them so much. So, brace yourself for random pics of them from 2009.

This is from a trip we took to Charleston, SC a few years ago. They had so much fun at the festival. They look so little to me here!

I remember Chris picking on me that day because I dressed both of them in brown. What can I say? I love brown. I love my children wearing brown in the middle of my favorite place to visit. :)

They are having a fun week and are making priceless memories with their grandparents, but I am ready for them to be home. Chris bet that I would be sad by tonight, but what he doesn't know is I was missing them the first night they were gone.

The sweetest part is they keep texting me and sending me pics on their phones. :) Dylan was even texting to "tell on" Karsen via text LOL. So, they must be missing me too. <3

may the odds be ever in your favor

The kids are in North Carolina for their Spring Break this week, and Chris and I are busy dating one another! YAY to dating your hubby!

Last night we went to eat at a place the kids DO NOT like: Olive Garden, and then we went to see the Hunger Games!

I was so excited because I have read all of the books, and I fell in love with the story and the characters. Chris was supposed to read the first book before we saw the movie, but that didnt happen and frankly, I could not wait any longer!

It was a fun night! Sorry I cut half your head off, Bay, but I still think you look pretty darn handsome! Thanks for a fun date night.  The odds are always in my favor with you by my side. <3
