Blessed Path

I can't be certain, and I am not quite sure...but I think...
I miss school.
Bite your tongue!

SHOCKER! GASP! OMG!
This can't be!
I have 3.67 weeks left before school starts back.
Before my P-3 year.

(But, whose counting? )

I am not ready for summer to be coming to a close.
There is so much more I want to do.
I want to savor summer.
Breathe it in.

Do nothing.

Relish in the moment.
But....I think I actually miss school.
I am ready to start my 3rd Pharm D year.
Learn more about the drugs.
Become the drug expert.

I do love pharmacy.....

In approximately 22 months I will graduate.

Dr. Deciduous Heather MSCR, PharmD

Become gainfully employed for the first time in years.
My Rock will be ecstatic.
My family will be proud.
No one in my family has ever graduated from college.

Not even one...

And we have a HUGE family.
My mom was one of 16 children.
Approximately 102 first cousins.

Native American.
Poor.
Proud People.

Alceon Jones, Lumbee Tribe

They worked the tobacco fields.
Lived in a 2 room house.
Had nothing but each other.

I know how lucky I am to have this opportunity.

A real, live medicine woman.

I do love Pharmacy and I am so excited.....
to go back to school.

That's how I know His path, this path....

This path, this journey that I am on...is indeed His will.
Thank YOU for the many blessings bestowed along the way.
For even making this possible.
He has carried me along the way.

Ezekiel 37

1The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley.

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I have welcomed my summer break finally! I have been done with my rotation for 1.5 weeks officially and one would think I have taken advantage of this break and down-time and really attacked my house and cleaned all the nooks and crannies....right? Nope, not me!

I have embraced down-time, and we have been very leisurely about everything.......

The new me.... relaxed, care-free, and easy breezy...right? Nope, not me!

I am still stressing all the nooks and crannies, but they are just going to have to wait.

Because we are busy...going to the pool! By the way, I did NOT take my kids to the pool everyday last week~ That would be way too much sun. Nope, not me!

Well, I did not take them to the pool everyday cause one day we did the two hour drive to Wilmington, NC and went to the beach for the day. It was more sun and great fun for all.

With all this running around, it is easy to see how the to-do list for my house has gotten lost in the shuffle.

I really almost promise to do those things on that to-do list this week maybe. I would not procrastinate would I? Nope, not me!

With summer being in full swing there were several other things I did NOT do.

I did not give my kids a late lunch last week and THEN give them ice cream for "supper"! Nope, not me! That would be awful, not to mention irresponsible, and more importantly--very bad for their teeth....well there is a TON of calcium in the ice cream, right? By the way, that bit about the calcium was not my justification for supplementing their supper for one night! Nope, not me!

I also did NOT attend church yesterday and while listening to the pastor talk about "passion" I did not immediately reflect on what my "passions" were and start thinking about FOOD, my most favorite restaurants, and more accurately what we would be eating for lunch AFTER church. I did NOT let my mind wonder, Nope, NOT me!

After church and all that thinking, I did NOT go to the nicer, higher end grocery store in the area and splurge big-time. Nope, not me! We are in a recession, for GOODNESS SAKES!

While roaming around said grocery store (that I did not visit), I did not decide that we needed to celebrate something.....maybe our dog's birthday....cause after all our precious german shepherd only turns 1 year 7 months and 11 days old ONCE!! So, I did not buy a big ol' sheet cake with white and baby blue whipped icing just because it looked yummy and perfect (and was very good thank you very much). I did not buy a birthday cake just because, that would be down-right gluttonous~ Nope, not me!

My entire NOT ME MONDAY post was not solely about food~ Nope, not me.

Let Me Upgrade You

I am now officially a 3-column blog!!

Taaa-Daa!!

I used this site to help me achieve the desired results.

http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com

It was very user-friendly and pretty much rocked my world!

I have envied other blogs.......and their 3 columns for months now....

But, now I have just what I want~I feel like a new blog.

It's a brand new day! YAY!

Motto of the Day: If I can do it, so can you! Upgrade today!

Love is......

Love is.....

...getting up with the kiddos at the crack of dawn...and...

....letting me sleep in on a Saturday morning. Yummy. then...

...cooking breakfast (bacon, homemade hashbrowns, and pancakes) for the whole family!

and then...

....promising to wash both cars today!

that's hard work~

....walking round with me as I walk aimlessly around
"shop" in TJMaxx!

(must really be love)

and Love is...

....asking me if I want to plant more flowers today!

...why yes, I do....

Thanks, love of my life!

Almost Famous.....

Does the fact that MckMama mentioned me on her blog today count for being almost famous!!??

In the world of blogs, why, YES IT DOES!

I am soooo famous for a day anyway!!

My 15 minutes of fame start now.....tick tock tick tock......

And in the words of Whitney Houston:

Give me one moment in time, when I'm more than I thought I could be!! When all of my dreams are a heart beat away, and the answers are all up to me!! Give me onnnnnneee moment in time....

I hear you fans, your voices are heard!

Speech! Speech! Speech!!

**Clears throat**

I would like to thank, MckMama! I follow several blogs, but I am most loyal to her's! Thank you for the abundance of cute pics, funny comments from MSC, and for sharing your life, family, and Stellan's journey with us!

Thanks to my mother, for giving a twisted sense of humor....many times Rated R, but always a smidgen of humor with a sprinkling of inappropriateness. All those moments you embarrassed me growing up with the many inappropriate comments to teachers, boyfriends, siblings, or to no one in particular.....all those things you said that made me cringe....they are all almost forgiven.......Thanks, Mom!

This picture pretty much says it all.

Actually, this pic was from our 6th anniversary right after My Rock gave me a big, new emerald cut, past-present-future ring. I was pretty durn happy then.

As I am now.

Thanks for the honorable mention, MckMama!!

In other news, July is here! And I am done with my rotation at a very awesome hospital in Raleigh! It proved to be a wonderful experience, and a great learning opportunity!!

But now......I am FREE for the rest of the summer.

Days consists of sleeping in, cooking breakfast, packing our bags, heading to the pool, getting homemade ice cream on the way home to cool us down, sun-shiny lazy kinda days with my Sun and Flower!

Yesterday, we spent the day at the beach with my sisters. NC beaches are the most beautiful!

Here was our view:

Today, we are waiting out the clouds to see if we should gamble a drive to the pool. I think we'll go, cause I am a easy-breezy laid back kinda-gal, and if it rains, we'll just come home!

No harm done.

Stay tuned, for big NEWS!
I may or may not have some life-changing news in the very near future. I can not say what it pertains to just yet, but it will drastically change my entire family's life.

And in the wise words of Forrest Gump, "that's all I have to say about that".

Stay tuned.....
